Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our farm tours, cultural experiences, eco-lodging, and how to plan your perfect visit to Jowate Agro-Tourism Center.
General Information
Jowate Agro-Tourism Center Ltd is a premier destination where agriculture meets tourism, nature, and innovation. We offer hands-on farming experiences, eco-education, cultural immersion, and sustainable rural development initiatives right in the heart of Uganda.
We are beautifully situated in Kyabikule Village, Ntooma Parish, Bwijanga Sub-county, Masindi District, Uganda. We are easily accessible by road and offer a peaceful retreat into the Ugandan countryside.
We are open year-round! However, because agricultural activities change with the seasons (e.g., planting vs. harvesting), every visit offers something unique. We highly recommend booking your visit in advance so we can prepare the best possible guided experience for you.
Farm Experiences & Activities
Visitors can dive right into daily farm life! Activities include crop planting and harvesting (macadamia, avocado, and coffee), touring our apiary (beehives), learning about dairy and goat farming, fish farming, and hands-on agro-processing like making fresh yogurt and ghee.
Not at all! Our expert local guides will teach you everything you need to know. Whether you are an experienced agriculturist or someone who has never set foot on a farm, our activities are tailored to be safe, educational, and fun for all skill levels.
